NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEDFORD COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION Notice is hereby given that the Bedford County Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 7:00pm for the following applications: Special Review Project Application SRP21-0002 - The Bedford Regional Water Authority, in conjunction with the Bedford County Parks and Recreation, requests a determination by the Planning Commission pursuant to Virginia Code ยง 15.2-2232 and Section 30-23 of the Bedford County zoning ordinance whether a waterline extension project for the future expansion of Moneta Park is "substantially in accord with the adopted comprehensive plan" of Bedford County. The project consists of approximately 3,220 linear feet of waterline and appurtenances that will serve Moneta Park along with the residents and businesses along this portion of Rucker Road that will have the option to connect to public water service. The project is located within the Virginia Department of Transportation right-of-way. Special Use Permit Application #SU21-0005 - Sweetwater RV Park, LLC (Emmett G. Mitchell and Shannon R. Mitchell) requests a Special Use Permit for the expansion of an existing campground for thirty-two (32) additional recreational vehicle campsites in an AR (Agricultural Residential) zoning district. The 30.413-acre parcel of property is located at 4474 White House Road, Moneta, VA. The existing campground was subject to a previously approved Special Use Permit (SU180002) by the Bedford County Board of Supervisors on March 26, 2018 on a 20.413 acre parcel of property identified as Tax Map Number 234-A-31C, and contains forty-five (45) recreational vehicle sites, four (4) tent campsites, a 24' x 65' camp store containing a game room, utility room, office, snack bar and bath house, a 24' x 41.5' caretaker house, and recreational amenities.
