The chili will be both plentiful and famous next week at Harbor Park.
“The Office” actor Brian Baumgartner, who played lovable, chili-making accountant Kevin Malone on the popular sitcom, will appear at the Norfolk Tides’ game against Gwinnett on June 25, the team announced.
The Tides will celebrate “The Office” with multiple ways for fans to meet and have photos taken with Baumgartner, including two special VIP Patio Party Planning Committee events before the game.
There will be an Express Photo Pass available that will move fans into a faster line to get their photos taken with the actor on the concourse. The Express Photo Pass will include a box seat ticket and a voucher for a special “The Office”-themed food item.
Fans can pay $35 for a photo voucher ticket that includes a box seat ticket and a guaranteed spot in line to get their photo taken with Baumgartner, whose character was known for slaving over – and spilling – his homemade chili.
For $20, fans can have their photo taken with the actor.
The tribute to “The Office” is part of a 12-game, 13-day homestand that began Tuesday night. This week’s promotions include Wednesday’s Pride Night, postgame fireworks Friday and Saturday and a baseball cap giveaway Sunday for Father’s Day.
