Nelson County Dog of the Week: Willard

Willard appears to be a hound mix who is about three years old and weighs 42 pounds. A goofy, wild and crazy guy, he loves two things: food and running around in the big yard. Willard is a diamond in the rough. He is smart, food motivated, and ready to learn new things, even though patience when it comes to food isn’t his biggest virtue. Hanging around with someone who pays attention to him, makes Willard feel special and relaxes him. He is a very attentive “school boy” for a teacher who “treats” him well. He would do well in a home with a doggy door, so he could take himself outside each time he needs to go potty. Good with dogs. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, interested adopters need to call the shelter and make an appointment to view an animal.
