Rain doesn't stop a pandemic nor does it stop the health professionals who fight it daily. Health workers with the Thomas Jefferson Health District provided the second round of free testing in Nelson County on Monday, this time in Gladstone.
According to Kathryn Goodman, public information officer with the health district, testers brought a total of 51 tests and administered 37, with about 60% of registered participants being from Nelson County. The health district held free testing in Gladstone in an effort to make tests available to as many people in the county as possible. The health district will return to Nelson County in two weeks.
As of press time Nelson County had 18 cases of COVID-19 and no deaths.
