A Charlottesville woman died Saturday after a single-vehicle crash in Nelson County, police said.
Danielle L. Jones, 34, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Malibu south on U.S. 29, a third of a mile north of Virginia 6, when the car ran off the left side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned, according to Virginia State Police.
Police responded at 4:28 a.m. Jones died at the scene, police said. She was wearing a seatbelt.
The crash remains under investigation.
