In partnership with the Virginia Department of Health, Meals on Wheels of Greater Lynchburg administered about 125 second-dose COVID-19 vaccines to residents in a drive-thru fashion Wednesday afternoon at Heritage United Methodist Church on Leesville Road.
A majority of those who received the vaccines were homebound residents who had access to transportation. The drive-thru clinic was designed specifically so these people could have easy access without having to exit their vehicles.
