Time to move on

A new national survey found only 24% of Republicans believe the results of the 2020 presidential election are accurate.

Many people who voted for President-elect Joe Biden can’t help but wonder what planet these people are living on. President Trump lost by more than 7 million popular votes and by a significant majority of the electoral college.

It has been more than a month since the election, there have been recounts on top of recounts, more than 40 failed court challenges about election irregularities, and yet the vote totals remain unchanged. The individual state vote totals [were] certified this week, there [are] no changes in the electoral college totals and Mr. Biden will continue to be President-elect Biden whether Republicans believe it or not.

President Trump and many senior Republican officials, by refusing to accept his loss, have assaulted our democracy and made fools of themselves.

President Trump has a problem. It is painfully obvious President Trump’s makeup just will not allow him to be gracious, accept the loss, and congratulate President-elect Biden on his win.

This charade has gone on long enough. It’s time for doubting Republicans to move on, return to earth, and get ready for Christmas and the new year.
