Attorneys for a New Hampshire man accused of murder in connection with an Amherst County woman’s June 2019 shooting death filed a motion Wednesday seeking a change of venue due to heightened publicity the case has received, including talk among the public leading up to the November 2023 election.
The Amherst County Commonwealth’s Attorney Office filed a motion Tuesday requesting a judge deny a change of venue request in the case of Justin Jay Sales, a New Hampshire prison inmate charged with aggravated murder in an elderly woman’s shooting death in Amherst.
